On the Tiles

End of March and officially the start of Spring…rain has faded and strong winds have helped to dry up the still sodden ground to the extent that the apprentice gardener has done the first cut of the grass.
 Due to space constraints , the builders are absent & only the roofers have been on site these past 10 days and as you can see the tiling ( curved style for this slope of roof) is almost complete, the velux windows are in-situ and this week should see the final touches to the roof as well as the gutters being fitted.
Once that is done, the" gros engin" will leave and  the builders will return to continue working on the exterior walls and start to lay out the new terrace.

Now that the new kitchen is basically wind & water tight,  the boiler no longer needs it's protective housing and surprise, surprise, the roofers' tools are stored inside again!

Looking ahead to the interiors, we had an amusing series of short treks carrying and to view samples of worktops, cupboard doors and  floor tiles between the offices of the  architects , the kitchen supplier and tile supplier to ensure that we hopefully have a good match in the new kitchen. Fortunately, they are within a 2m walk of each other.
Weather set to be mild & dry for this next week, so progress should be made on the outside as well as the kitchen itself taking shape inside.
