Printemps a Pech Ugou

Four months since the last update as Springtime is officially with us on the eve of works starting on the original kitchen conversion to master bedroom and ensuite.

Whilst winter was not too severe, we had several short periods of sharp frosts and as you can see the vegetation is growing fast as nature sets it's course for another year with the accompanying creature activity.

All in all we are well settled into the new kitchen and garage and happy with having undertaken all the attendant decorating works.
In advance of Team Bermudez and Co starting tomorrow, and with help from friends and neighbours we have dismantled all of the old kitchen units and fittings, used some of the cupboards in the new garage and cellar and given away the rest- including the door between the old kitchen and lounge which M Rumpler replaced on Friday with a " dust proof" fixed barrier. Although 40 odd years old, being oak, these cabinets should see many more years of service.
Works are planned to be completed by mid June, which is not in time for the arrival of this year's first visitors, but all being well should give us plenty of time to enjoy the summer free of builders etc.
